Sample preparation of metals and alloys
LGC Industrial is the exclusive distributor of ColdBlock digestion systems for the metals industry. This exciting new technology provides rapid digestion of metal alloys for analysis by ICP-OES, ICP-MS and AA. This patented technology uses short wave IR radiation to directly heat the sample and a cooling block to promote condensation of fumes limiting the loss of volatile components. Heating the sample directly also reduces the volume of acid required for each digestion and in many cases eliminates the need for particularly dangerous acids such as HF and Perchloric.
